Georgetown may be home to the Most Beautiful Town Square in Texas but that doesn’t mean we’re a bunch of squares. In fact, we’re anything but. So leave the stress at the office, the worry at home and pack your bags for a weekend that fits perfectly outside the box.

From our “gotta have that†boutiques to our love-at-first-bite eats, our city is the perfect place to spend a day or a night (or more). We’ve been told that our windows encourage shopping so plan to discover just what you were looking for—and maybe a few things that you weren’t. Shopped until you’re nearly ready to drop, indulge your sweet tooth or sizzle your savory side at one of the 100 plus bars and restaurants located on the Square and off.

Not a foodie or a shopaholic? No problem. We’ve been told that we’ve got a whole lot more to offer, starting with our Victorian architecture (#HelloGorgeous). As an award-winning community and the first Texas city to earn the Great American Main Street Award as well as the National Trust Award, you’ll be hard pressed to find a city that makes preservation look this good.

In the market for something other than a pretty façade? Cuff your jeans, grab one of our bike share bikes and cycle on out to one of our local watering holes—Lake Georgetown, Blue Hole or San Gabriel River—where you’ll always find something fun to do. If indoor adventure is more your speed, head deep into the earth’s core at the Inner Space Cavern for a lesson of prehistoric proportions.

Want to add few more, happy hours? Take in a show at the Palace Theatre or get cultural at the Art Center. Whatever your genre, we’re sure you’ll find it here. Consider us Hill Country’s most beautiful little secret.
